Did You Know? Organic Waste Can Be Used to Generate Power!

Ann Arbor, MI – Biomass, biomass fuel, biomass power, carbon neutral electricity – what does it all mean? Biomass is simply organic waste, normally in the form of urban wood waste, forest and wood processing debris or food processing and agricultural crop residues, which is used to generate power instead of being dumped in the landfill.  On May 4th, professionals from across the world will gather in Minneapolis, Minnesota to discuss developments in biomass energy and attend the 3rd annual  International Biomass Conference and Expo.

The two day conference will unite current and future producers of biomass-derived power, , energy crop growers, municipal leaders, utility executives, technology providers, and investors to discuss how biomass power can be generated, distributed, promoted and used as a carbon neutral electricity solution.  The conference includes more than 90 individuals speaking on 72 technical presentations.   Attendees will hear keynote presentations on “Biomass Priorities on the Hill” and “A Utility Perspective on Biomass Derived Power” before breaking out into six customized conference tracks.

Resource Recycling Systems provides specialized services to both biomass developers and corporate lenders as they evaluate the feasibility of providing biomass fuel to power facilities.  Among the hundreds of conference attendees, RRS Principal David Stead, who has over 20 years of biomass experience, will be available to discuss with you and your organization the potential biomass power.  We look forward to helping you manage your organics for recovery, reuse and power.
