Georgia’s On Our Mind

SWANA – Georgia Chapter Conference Attendance

Augusta, GA—Resource Recycling Systems’ principals Jim Frey and Marty Seaman are currently attending the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) – Georgia Chapter Conference in Augusta, Georgia. This fall conference provides opportunities for continuing education and networking with solid waste industry members in the southeast.

On Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 8:00am to 9:30am Jim will be speaking at an education session titled “Enterprise Fund Modeling”. Jim will be discussing the essential use of an enterprise fund perspective when evaluating, designing or expanding current waste and recycling programs. He will outline the framework needed for a “business as usual” understanding, evaluation of forecasting models, cost and program profiles/assumptions and how your stakeholders play into your programs.

On Friday, October 16, 2009 from 8:00am to 9:30am Marty will be speaking at an education session titled “Automation and Routing”. Marty will be discussing some of the new benefits and efficiencies of waste and recycling collection technologies. He will focus on the use of automated arms on collection vehicles, benefits of using carts and how routing can improve your organizations service, efficiency and bottom line costs.

As part of their conference travels, Jim and Marty will be stopping in Athens and Atlanta, Georgia; Hilton Head, South Carolina; and Charlotte, North Carolina. They are truly enjoying the beauty, fall temperatures and of course the sun in the southeast.
