Recyclers Race Into Indianapolis

Indianapolis, IN – Visitors to Indianapolis, Indiana will have a lot of activities to choose from during the week of May 4th.  They can check out Bob the Builder at the Children’s Museum, tour the Indy 500 speedway, or attend the Indiana Recycling Coalition 21st annual conference.  Even Bob the Builder will be pleased to see professionals from throughout Indiana and the Midwest choosing to attend the IRC conference to network and discuss key recycling issues with community leaders, vendors, consultants, and peers.

The IRC is encouraging everyone to “Think Outside the Recycling Bin” this year as they focus on creating opportunities to help increase the reach of conference’s environmental leaders, stewards and professionals.  The Conference will begin with a tour and kick off reception at Traders Point Creamery on Tuesday May 3rd and will continue through Thursday with breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and an open exhibit hall.

RRS Principal Marty Seaman will be in attendance not only as a conference Carbon sponsor, an exhibitor but also  as a presenter in two conference sessions on Thursday May 6th.  Marty will be participating in a panel discussion titled “Plastic Bag Recycling, Aseptic Carton Recycling and Reusable Bag Programs” on behalf of the Carton Council  and speaking on “Hospital Waste Reduction and Recycling”. The Carton Council is made up of carton manufacturers who wish to continue to lower the environmental impact of their product by expanding recycling programs across the country.  Stop the RRS/Carton Council exhibit booth to learn how you can incorporate cartons and aseptic packaging into your recycling program.

Seaman says, “RRS is pleased to once again participate and sponsor the IRC conference as not only an exhibitor but as the Carbon Sponsor.  It is important to us to be able to offset the carbon footprint of the event and is happy to share information on recycling aseptic packaging and the Carton Council initiative to continually improve their environmental impact.”
