Upstate Green Business Network Workshop

Buffalo, NY—Resource Recycling Systems’ principals Jim Frey and Marty Seaman just finished attending the Upstate Green Business Network’s (UGBN) Implementing Sustainable Business Practices: A 360 Degree Approach workshop in Buffalo, New York on Monday, November 2nd.  Jim and Marty were joined by Katy Duggan-Haas in our Northeast Associate Office who is a member of the UGBN Buffalo/Niagara Chapter Steering Committee and helped sponsor the workshop.

The UGBN is a network of businesses, institutions, and organizations that share a mutual concern for the state of our environment.  Their aim is to demonstrate that by integrating environmental criteria into decision making, businesses can become more competitive and at the same time do what is right for the environment.

The networking workshop shed light on new ideas, insights and contacts to help a variety of organizations achieve their sustainability goals.  The workshop’s 360 approach focused on how business can be efficient, profitable and go hand-in-hand with being a good steward of the environment.

Jim and Marty thoroughly enjoyed meeting several members of the UGBN as well as the workshop attendees.  It was a pleasure to not only attend but be the Carbon Sponsor for this workshop. Our sponsorship helped make this workshop event carbon neutral.
