Indiana Recycling Coalition Celebrates 20 Years of Business

Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Recycling Coalition has a lot in which to be proud.  On Saturday, November 7, 2009 they celebrated 20 years of recycling advocacy in Indiana. Holding a formal gala at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, members, staff, and sponsors enjoyed dinner and cocktails while discussing the future agenda of the Coalition and recent legislative success.

RRS Principal Marty Seaman and his wife Karen were in attendance to enjoy the festivities and answer recycling questions.

Seaman says, “For me, it is exciting to see the Indiana Recycling Coalition’s success with the E-Scrap legislation as I worked with them on E-Scrap the first time around several years ago.  The Coalition has handled the last 20 years with a mature effectiveness and I wish them 20 more years of success.”Marty Carey Karen irc gala

RRS has been a solid sponsor of conferences and other education activities for several years and proudly purchased carbon credits to offset the environmental impact of the event.

Carey Hamilton, the IRC’s Executive Director states, “The IRC is proud to have served as Indiana’s voice for recycling over the past 20 years and we are thrilled to count RRS and its dedicated team of professionals as supporters of our organization. We were particularly pleased to have RRS secure our first ever carbon offset sponsorship for the event.”
