RRS Attends Job Fair in Hopes of Finding New Employee
Ann Arbor, MI— On Friday March 19th, RRS Principals Nicole Chardoul and JD Lindeberg attended the a sustainability job fair at hosted by the University of Michigan BLUElab. BLUElab (Better Living Using Engineering Laboratory) is a student organization that works to conceive, develop, and oversee real world projects locally and in underdeveloped countries. The program hosts a job fair annually to give engineering students and local environmental companies an opportunity to meet and network.
RRS participated in hopes of finding an intern to assist over the spring and summer in technical research for both staff and clients, generate memos and reports, perform data collection and input, and perform other duties as needed. Job Opening – Resource Recycling Systems Job Title – Research Intern Timeframe – Temporary, up to one year FLSA – Non-Exempt Posting Date – March 19, 2010 Closing Date – March 31, 2010
RRS will hire an Intern to assist in technical research for both staff and clients, generate memos and reports, perform data collection and input, and perform other duties as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide research for development of new subject matters and sectors for RRS as well as waste and recycling emerging technologies
- Assist with client projects while providing innovative and environmentally responsible solutions;
- Periodic memo, report and powerpoint generation;
- Database and spreadsheet design and data input;and
- Assist with general office tasks as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Organized, self-motivated, ability to set work priorities and complete work with minimal supervision.
- Creative problem analysis abilities to solve client multi-dimensional problems and projects.
- Proven experience working on multiple projects and client tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCad preferred, but not necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year degree or two years completed in a four-year program in education, economics, natural resources, environmental sciences, environmental policy, engineering, business administration or related field.
- Two years working experience on an environmentally related field is preferred.
Pay Range: hourly rate depending on experience and qualifications
