About Kris
Kris Kaar is an associate senior consultant at RRS with over 40 years of extensive experience in adding new materials to existing recycling programs and expanding access to recycling for select materials.
Prior to RRS, Kris’ career included public and private sector consulting, municipal client support at an independent material recovery facility, and direct municipal experience implementing a composting program, managing the city’s waste and recycling collection contact, and developing the first permanent household hazardous waste collection drop-off site in Illinois. Kris was named the 2020 Illinois Recycling Association’s Recycler of the Year Award for contributions to the industry in the past year as well as a lifetime of service to the recycling community in the State of Illinois.
