The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) will host their annual conference online in 2021. The conference’s goal is to develop and improve the knowledge and skills needed to educate the public, find solutions to challenges, and network with colleagues. Speaking during Collaborating to Develop End Markets for Recovered Materials

To create a true circular economy, you need to not only collect the materials, but also have end markets to process and manufacture those recovered materials into new products/uses. Additionally, having local end markets can offer lower transportation costs, program resilience during fluctuating commodity values, and a positive impact on the economy. Meghan will highlight an innovative program, NextCycle, that has been implemented in two states, as well as provide an overview of recycling end market development centers.
