FREE Webinar - Beyond Recycling: EPR Meets Reuse

Learn How Reuse Fits into EPR for Packaging

Tuesday, May 5 | 11 am ET

As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging continues to gain traction across the United States, conversations are rapidly evolving beyond recycling alone. Join us for this timely webinar to learn from both domestic and international perspectives, ask questions, and better understand how reuse can move from concept to reality within EPR systems.

The session will include:

  • An introduction to RRS and the broader context for this discussion

  • An overview of EPR and Signalfire

  • Insights into how reuse is being incorporated into U.S. EPR programs

  • A glimpse into France’s EPR system and its approach to reuse

  • A moderated discussion and audience Q&A

Learn How Reuse Fits into EPR for Packaging

As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging continues to gain traction across the United States, conversations are rapidly evolving beyond recycling alone.

While many EPR programs today are primarily focused on recycling, there is a growing opportunity to integrate reusable packaging through targeted incentives, supporting infrastructure, and clear policy frameworks unlocking significant environmental and resource benefits.

To explore this shift, Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), in partnership with Signalfire, is hosting an upcoming webinar “Beyond Recycling: EPR Meets Reuse.” This discussion will highlight how reuse is being approached in emerging EPR frameworks in the U.S., alongside insights from a more mature system in France. Speakers will share practical lessons, policy considerations, and real-world experience to help clarify the path forward for integrating reuse into EPR.  We’ll examine how reuse is being considered today, what is expected to change, and where important policy and implementation questions remain open including challenges related to scaling systems and the logistics of collection and cleaning.Join Us
